Cost figures on the site are third-party statewide averages for Pennsylvania, with the source and year named beside them. They are planning ranges, not quotes or bids. The cost calculator gives a rough range from a few answers and cannot see your roof, so a roofer's written estimate is the only real price.

The repair-or-replace quiz offers a general pointer, not a finding about your roof. Only an inspection by a roofer can tell you what condition the roof is in.

Summaries of Pennsylvania law, city permits and township offices were checked against official pages on the dates shown on the roofing rules page, but rules and office details change. Confirm anything important with the office involved before you rely on it. Storm history comes from the National Weather Service as cited on each page.

The site does not check, rate or vouch for any roofer, and a referral is not an endorsement. Before you sign, look the roofer up on the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Home Improvement Contractor search and read the contract in full. No government office, insurer or manufacturer is connected with or recommends this site.
